Field Marshall, the biggest bull in Britain who stands 6ft 5ins tall.Posted by: admin in Animals, tags: biggest, bullA HUGE bull called The Field Marshall has reaffirmed his title as Britain’s biggest bullock after piling on the beef. The eight-year-old Charolais tipped the scales at 3,682lb (1,670kg) – a staggering 300lb more than he weighed one year ago. He took part in a charity "guess the weight" contest, where organisers had to use specialist scales used to weigh lorries to calculate his mass. The Field Marshall has overtaken the previous record holder, his former stablemate The Colonel, who stood 6ft 5in tall and weighed 3,500lb before his death in 2005. LEGAZPI, Philippines (AP) — Philippine troops on Monday pressed the last 3,000 villagers who have refused to heed government warnings to leave the danger zone around a volcano that experts say is ready to erupt. Tens of thousands of people have already been evacuated from the foothills of Mayon, which on Monday emitted lava fountains, powerful booming noises and other signs of an approaching eruption. But authorities are having trouble keeping villagers away from their homes and farms, said Gov. Joey Salceda. "There are people who have been evacuated three times, and we sigh: ‘You again?’ " said Salceda of central Albay province. "We’ve been playing cat and mouse with them."
